onon is leaving us :(

i have no choices to send onon to another family, jacky.

we scheduled a vet visit at 9lives in central and jacky picked him up in central then. onon seems that she knew we were leaving her and kept meow-ing on the way to vet. i intended to bring markus with us and i did tell him onon was leaving us 2 days ago. markus seems ok when i told him (i did tell him why). however, when jacky brought onon away from us, markus kept crying almost half hour until we have lunch at granddad place.

his reaction did remind me an incident 20yr ago when i lost a small pet at home (really forgot what kind of pet). i didn’t cry but feel sorry for onon. really hope she got a better owner / place to stay. god bless.

making a hard descision….

i made a very hard decision that i have to give up my cats.

i know we don’t treat them good after markus / jayla borns. we locks them into a smaller area (study room, corridor and washroom) and they can’t go out to living room and dining room.

life is full of compromise. i compromised, but this doesn’t mean i agree kids can’t grow up with pet. i am sure markus and jayla love them. markus likes to feed them, chase them and hold them. jayla is getting excited when she touchs them.

dingding should be able to stay in my granddad place in wanchai (permanently? temporarily?) i am looking for a new permanent home for onon. friends, let me know if you have any referral for her new home.

dingding very sick again.. :(

when i was back from taipei on sunday, i saw dingding walking very slow and seems abnormal. i think he was ok so i let him in last 2 days. however, when i was back today, i know he is sick. he drink water and ‘v v’ everywhere. when he walked, ‘v v’ dipping everywhere.

i decided to bring him to vet immediately. vet told me his kidney may be damaged as some toxic reading is >10 times than normal. he told some antibiotic and have to stay in the vet for 3 days. i will bring markus to visit him tomorrow and i wish him very best.

dingding sick again?

i finished the company major event. finally, i am going to touch all previous photos and post the latest of markus/jayla photo next week.

however, dingding was sick last night. he was having urinary problems from last few days and we found his urine on my table twice (it’s cleaned). last night, he was getting more serious and urine is getting bloody. i took him to see dr. maggie at 9lives today. maggie said the disorder problem may due to stress.

recently, we locked him into his cage at night to minimize the noise making from him at night. however, this may make him more nervous and stress, and now having problem in his kidney.

dingding should be fine. we have some medicines for him. maggie took sample from dingding and we should know the result in a few days.

i hope he is getting better soon :(

we miss our cats :(

b’cos of markus, we sent our cats to irene’s brother home for 2 weeks. we miss them so much. we couldn’t wait until markus’ full moon so we drive to visit them tonight.

fyi, dingding and onon are fine. i think they are okay for the place as the temporarily home has aircon all the time.

we are expecting them to come back late october.

cats yearly vaccinations

dingding and onon went to dr. margaret for yearly vaccinations. doctor did also health check with them.

unluckily, onon is inflected skin disease, likely because of the recent haircut. i called meimei and her cat got a similar sympotom on his skin.

onon lost hair seriously. we implemented the last-resort and sent her to pet shop for hair cut. we don’t know if she love her new look, but we should feel more comfortable.

ding ding back home!!

ding ding recovered after doctor special care for 2 days. he has been discharged from hospital and he looks very good.

however, he has to take antibiotic for 1 week and special diet for 1 month to avoid blocking of urine. doctor said it’s usual to get blocked again after unblocking. to avoid onon dietary problem, we have to separate his meal with on on.

ding ding very sick!!

when we got back home tonite, ding ding looked very sick. don’t want to move, keep meow, walk uncomfortably, no toilet and no meal whole day.

i then called the doctor at 9 lives hospital at 22:00 for advice. doctor suggest that ding ding needed an emergency checkup. he was found to have crystal inside his penis so he couldn’t go toilet. an emergency survery took place and the operation was sucessful. he needs to take 24-hour monitoring at the hospital. it’s still critical until doctor confirmed his function well.

urine mixed with blood. doctor told he could be fatal if we brought him to doctor next day.
