i haven’t updated my blog for long long time. no excuse and i am lazy :)

kids are getting bigger now and joined the first halleween party last week. they love to go, but cried inside the haunted house.

it’s a month after the baby born. sherrie and the baby are fine.

it was a noisy visit. we have 6 kids / 7 adults at their home. hope the baby didn’t mind :)





jayla in hospital

while i was in mumbai for business trip, jayla got temperature as high as 105F and confirmed she got lung inflammation.

she is now in canossa hospital and her temperature is now stablized. however, doctor said she have to stay in hospital until tuesday the earliest and make sure she is 100% recovered before she can go home.

no worry everyone, she start jumping and shouting in the room. she is fine :)

miss leung, sherrie and ken’s baby, finally born last friday. mommy and baby are fine and will soon discharge from hospital.

can’t tell she looks like mommy or daddy. but i can tell she looks like a girl :)

no worry. it’s not H1N1.

toppy got flu first. next day, it’s me. finally, it’s jayla. only markus and maid can survive :)

jayla has temperature for 3 days and was as high as 40C. jayla recovered, but toppy and i got some problems on the throats. need 3 times medical consultation in 1 week :(





post-christmas dinner and gathering…

same to previous years, i made a christmas dinner for friends and enjoy at my home. last year, we got roasted prime ribs. this year, we got roasted lamb chop. lamb chop isn’t cheap ($40 per oz) but it’s mainly b’cos of christmas season. i managed to cook lamb so i can do it next time.

Starter. Tuna Salad with Basil
(similar to http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/soup-and-salad/hot-tuna-salad-with-basil-creme-fraiche, but without creme fraiche on top)
Main. Roasted Crown Rack of Lamb
Dessert. Creme Brulee
Coffee (Nespresso, Latte, Cappuccino)

For kids:
Main. Pasta with Sausage in Cream Sauce

For Sherrie:
Main. Prime Ribs

long vacation….

i have to clear all my annual leave (14-day left) so i am taking a long vacation from 21/nov to 11/dec. (this post will keep updating until the end of my vacation)

have no $ to spend so to stay at home with family. go playground with jayla, bring markus to kindergarten everyday and be health to swim 20 laps everyday.

i am also trying to dine somewhere i can’t go on weekday. below is my list of place to dine in hong kong. let me know if you have any suggestions.
- 勝香園 @ Central (toast is nice; 24/11)
- 大榮華酒樓 Tai Wing Wa Restaurant @ Kowloon Bay (good in term of price; 25/11)
- 再興燒臘飯店 (roasted duck is very good in quality and price; 26/11)
- 安利魚蛋粉 (ok la; 28/11)
- Classified Mozzarella Bar (just cake and coffee, quite expensive and very cold in shop; 28/11)
- 蓮香樓 Lin Heung Tea House @ Central (too hurry for lunch; 1/12)
- Caffe Habitu (bad bad bad, coffee is bad :(; 1/12)
- 松菱日本料理 Matsubishi @ Wanchai for Teppanyaki (lunch set is very good, you should try once; 2/12)

i also take this opportunity to cook at home. below is my targets.
- 豉汁蒸聖子 (ok la; 24/11)
- steam fish 蒸魚 (24/11 and 27/11)

- drunk shrimp 醉蝦 (good; 29/11)
- 豉汁蒸象拔蚌仔 (a lot better than 豉汁蒸聖子; 27/11)
- onion duck 陳太洋蔥鴨 (book told it’s according to anson chan recipe; 4/12)
- 蛋免治牛肉碟頭飯 (from 蘇GOOD, ok la; 8/12)
- steam chicken 蒸雞
- hairy crab meat in pasta 蟹粉義大利麵 (nice idea huh?)

now, swim “10 out of 20 days” of vacation :) keep counting….

back from tokyo

have been to tokyo 5day for biz trip.

finally, fixed a biz issue and no need to escalate to senior management (yes, it is serious if i can’t fix it).

have been to midora sushi twice. both ordered a set + favours. set menu could satisfy myself on every best pieces from the restaurant. menu have 2 most expensive sushi are currently my favours selling at @¥420: *extra* urchin sushi and fresh *live* shrimp sushi. *exta* mean urchin is as much as on the dish as well. *live* means when dish comes to our table, the tail was still moving. can’t resist to let those sushi on dishes longer but into my mouth.

also, try a restaurant selling natual eel menu over 160yr. lunch is quite expensive ¥3450 and this is one of few japanese restauant charges 10% service. to me, taste is ok, but may not realize cost ¥3000 for a set menu. menu have course over ¥10000.
